Physically Active Learning in Surrey Schools (PALSS)

PALSS is Active Surrey's initiative to help schools make every day a little more active. We're asking all the county's schools to pledge to get their pupils moving more by taking part in one (or more) of the seven focus areas included in the campaign, and in return we'll send you a resource pack.

Active Bursts

  1. Download our ideas for quick wins to help get you started.

  2. Select which of the seven focus areas you plan to get involved in. It doesn't matter how small the change is - the important thing is that you get your pupils to do something to move more, sit less.

  3. Make your pledge to be sent a pack with case studies, a "we've pledged" poster and other resources (available from mid January).

Active Surrey are pleased to offer a staff training session on Developing Healthy Active Lifestyles which is aimed at head teachers, PE lead teachers, PSHE lead teachers and any interested governors you may want to share this with.

Developing Healthy Active Lifestyles is an opportunity to learn and share best practice about embedding active lifestyles throughout school. Engaging every child and in line with Ofsted requirements relating to health and wellbeing. This 3hr training also includes a set of resources that over 50 schools have successfully used to engage the least-active.
